The Founder Story: The idea behind eventpage.ai

As experts in the professional event sector, Lasse Schmitt and Julian Wendorf have found that although there are numerous tools for event planning, none of them really cover all requirements. Many are fragmented, introduce unnecessary sources of error, are expensive and are often only used for a fraction of their functions. Others are too complex or overpriced. And none of these tools offer truly smart AI integration that helps to save time and money. This is exactly where the pair come in: They are convinced that there is enormous potential in combining AI and events – to plan better, more creative and more efficient events. Their goal: an AI tool for the simplest event planning in the world – usable for everyone, whether privately or professionally.

AI and events – a revolution in event planning

“There is a world of untapped potential in the combination of AI and event planning,” says Lasse Schmitt. “Let’s take the design of images, the generation of texts or suggestions for a coherent brand CI – until now, this has been a time-consuming process involving a lot of time from several team members. Our idea with eventpage.ai is to offer a simple solution for all the requirements faced by professional and private event planners. This makes eventpage.ai the first tool to bring the field together with AI in this form and democratise event planning on a new level for everyone. Similar to what Canva has done with design.”

Goodbye to WhatsApp groups and Excel lists

as an AI platform, eventpage.ai combines the functions of well-known tools such as ChatGPT, Canva and Mailchimp and creates personalised, individually designed event pages in just four clicks based on a quick, individual briefing. This saves resources and allows invitations to be managed and advertised automatically – both in a professional and personal context. And all without error-prone Excel lists or annoying WhatsApp groups.

Two founders with events in their blood

The two eventpage-ai founders Lasse Schmitt and Julian Wendorf have events in their blood. After meeting at a sports event during their studies, they founded the field and community marketing agency B2M together in 2016. Today, B2M is one of the leading German agencies in the sports and lifestyle sector. They are well-known faces in the industry and are recognised as experts in combining the offline and digital worlds thanks to their experience.

A success that speaks for itself

Founded in January, launched in July and exceeded sales expectations in December: While many software start-ups first build up structures and develop their own product in the first year of their foundation, eventpage.ai already achieved a six-figure turnover of 100,000 euros in the first six months. Thanks to their contacts in the industry, founders Lasse Schmitt and Julian Wendorf were able to persuade major brands such as Allianz, Pernod Ricard and the Bavarian Gymnastics Association to work directly with the tool from the outset and pay for the service in the form of business accounts. Their feedback in turn flowed directly into the further development of the tool, resulting in a dynamic market launch. Currently, thousands of users are already in contact with the platform. Since its foundation, the company’s value has almost doubled to 1.8 million euros within a year.

“We quickly launched an initial version on the market and gathered important insights – we then approached potential customers from our agency network directly, because the added value of the tool for business cases in particular was obvious to us right from the start,” says Julian Wendorf. “The feedback from our customers was extremely good – they actually wanted to use the tool straight away and were delighted with how easy it was to use.”

Docked to the “AI stronghold” in Heilbronn

Eventpage.ai is already one of the most promising start-ups in the field of AI and event planning. The potential of eventpage.ai is demonstrated by its inclusion in the 12-week“AI Founders” accelerator programme run by Campus Founders and D11Z.Ventures in Heilbronn, which is supported by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation. The programme is one of the most renowned contact points in the field of AI and the Dieter Schwarz Foundation specifically promotes up-and-coming start-ups with innovative approaches and business models in the AI sector.
